“International Youth Day"
“International Youth Day” Celebrated on 12th August 2016 at Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj Nagpur University, Nagpur Hosted By
NSS UNIT, Rajiv Gandhi College of Engineering & Research, Nagpur

On behalf of RTM Nagpur University, NSS UNIT of Rajiv Gandhi College of Engineering & Research, Nagpur hosted this program. The centralized theme for celebrating this auspicious day was declared to be “The Road to 2030: Eradicating Poverty and Achieving Sustainable Production & Consumption”. Under this theme the organizing team arranged three interesting competitions namely: Poster making, Essay Writing & Quiz. Dr. Keshav Walke, NSS District Coordinator was the chief guest for the program.

“International Yoga Day” Celebrated on 21st June 2016
Responding to the appeal of Government of India to promote yoga amongst youth, NSS UNIT of Rajiv Gandhi College of Engineering & Research, Nagpur organized a program to mark “International Day for YOGA”.
“Tree Plantation” to Respond “VAN MAHOTSAV”

Responding to the appeal of Government of Maharashtra to plant trees under “VAN MAHOTSAV”, NSS UNIT of Rajiv Gandhi College of Engineering & Research, Nagpur has planted 50 saplings at campus of the institute. Shramdan Shibir” at Mohgoan, Hingna, Nagpur, 24th July 2016
NSS UNIT of Rajiv Gandhi College of Engineering & Research, Nagpur selected Mohgaon village for “Shramdan Shibir” which is located 12 Kms from the college. The team planted 20 trees and statue of Ex Prime Minister of India, Smt. Indira Gandhi was clean by girl students in the NSS team.
Fire Fighting Training” with NMC Fire Department, 16th July 2016
Rajiv Gandhi College of engineering and research's NSS group organized a one day training session for its members at NMC fire station. The training fired off from educating the students about different kinds of fire and which extinguishing method to use during which type. The students were given basic knowledge about variations in flame.

Nagpur Mayor Shri Pravin Datke, Deputy Mayor Shri Munnabhau Pokulwar, BJP Nagpur President MLA South Nagpur Shri Sudhakar Kohale were prominently present in a program to pay tribute to “Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj” on his birth anniversary on 30th April 2016. On behalf of Gandhi College of Engineering & Research, Nagpur Prof. P D. Shobhane thanked Nagpur Municipal Corporation and entire team of NMC hanuman Nagar Zone for great support they offered during the process.

Industrial visit to Purti Sugar and Power Plant
Department of Electronics Engineering had organized an industrial visit for hundred students of the Fifth semester who were accompanied by three faculties of the department. The visit was arranged to the Purti Sugar and Power plant, situated in Bela, Nagpur.
