Events Session 2017-2018

Daylong Workshop

Nagpur: Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering of Rajiv Gandhi College of Engineering and Research, Wanadongri, Nagpur, recently organised a daylong workshop on Basics of Electronics under their student’s formulated team Hands on Electronics (HOE) on 21th July, 2018. The idea behind this workshop was to create awareness in the field of Electronics as well as circuit designing.

The daylong workshop covered all basics of Electronics Engineering as well as actual circuit building. Different circuits were designed and implemented by the participants. The mirthful overseeing of program was steered by the coordinators of this club as well as workshop, Prof. Manisha Raut and Prof. Anagha Wankhede.

Session ended with a tempestuous competition amongs the participants. The idea for the workshop was given by the Principal of the college Dr. Manali Kshirsagar. Head of Department, Dr. Naren Narole motivated the students to take full advantages of this club and workshop. Various activities and awareness programmes related to electronics will be conducted in future was assured and promised by him. Participation certificates were given to all the participants of the workshop.


One day workshop on “Breadboard & Dotted PCB”

Department of Electronics & Telecommunication organized the one day workshop on “Breadboard & Dotted PCB” under Hands on Electronic on 06th October 2017 for the students of Second year. In this event, there were 7 group entries having maximum three participates in each group.


One day workshop on “PCB Implementation”

Department of Electronics & Telecommunication organized the one day workshop on “PCB Implementation” under Hands on Electronics on 6thAugust 2017 for the students of third year. In this event, there were 21 group entries having maximum three participates in each group.


One day workshop on “PCB Designing”

Department of Electronics & Telecommunication organized the one day workshop on “PCB Designing” under Hands on Electronics on 24th September 2017 for the students of third year. The whole event was carried out by students of Final Year of the department and they were  supported by technical event in charge Mr. Pranav Kothe and faculty in charges Ms. Anagha Wankhede and Prof. Dhanshree Tajne .


Forum Installation

Forum Installation ceremony held by Electronics and Telecommunication Department, RGCER on 23rd September 2017. Dr. Vivek Kapur, Principal, GHRAET, Nagpur were the chief guest for the program. The other dignitaries present on the dais were Dr.N.G.Narole , HOD, ETC who lauded the students with their precious thoughts. The department of Electronics and Telecommunication, Rajiv Gandhi College of Engineering organized Circuit Design Competition on on 23rd September 2017 under the guidance of Dr. N.G.Narole, HOD, ETC. The event was organized by Students of the department under the Forum Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering Students Association (EESA) as a first event of the year 2017-18 under EESA


Guest Lectures

On 7th September 2017, a guest lecture was organized by the ETC department, RGCER, Nagpur on “Regulated Power supply” topic from Analog Circuit and Design –V Semester ETC by Dr.A.V. Bapat,Dean (Academic Matters), YCCE, Nagpur

Adjunct faculty session by Mr. Krushnarao Dhawad ,Solar solutions Pvt Ltd showered his sagacious and inspiring experiences among the students which united curriculum scrutiny and practical aspects in designing of basic components in electronics like transistors, diodes.

Guest Lecture on “Television and video engineering : TV standards” on 5th August 2017 by Prof. R.P. Deshmukh

The Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering at Rajiv Gandhi College of Engineering & Research, Nagpur, organised a guest lecture on ‘Pipelining in DSP processors and instructions ’ by Mr. Pranay Purani ,Asst. Professor,PIGCE Nagpur on September 18.

Adjunct faculty interaction session on Topic “Unregulated power supplies". Mr. Shripad Saranjame , Morarjee Textile Pvt Ltd and Mr. Krushnarao Dhawad ,Solar Solutions Pvt Ltd.


Orientation Program

The orientation program for fresh batch of students of Electronics and Telecommunication Department was held on  31th July’17. Mrs. Meera Joshi, Director Marketing, Epsillon Cables Pvt. Ltd, Nagpur was the chief guest for the program. The other leading light  present on the dais were Dr. Manali  Kshirsagar, Principal, RGCER and Dr. Vivek Kapur, HOD, ETC. Mrs Meera Joshi elevated  the students with the emerging trends in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering and the significance of Electronics as a core area in Research and Development. Dr. Manali Kshirsagar motivated the students to adopt innovative methods whereas Dr. Vivek Kapur made an implication over different student centric policies. The mirthful overseeing of program was steered by the Prof.S.S.Katre and Prof.Poonam Agarkar.

The event was efficiently conducted by the co-ordinators of the Forum and the faculty members under the guidance of Dr. Vivek Kapur, HOD, ETC, Prof. Shilpa Katre, EESA Forum Incharge, Ms. Priyanka Ikhar, EESA Forum Co-Incharge and Aman Raghuwanshi, EESA Forum President


Parent Teacher Meet

The Parent Teacher meet was organized on 19th August, 2017 with a view of having an interaction with Parents to improve the overall development of the students and to discuss the performance in Mid Semester Exam as well as attendance of their ward .Total 72 Parents attended meet. They shown keen interest on organizing such Teacher Parent meets regularly at least twice in a semester. Parents were very much satisfied with the way departmental senior faculties are giving personal attention to the students.
Also they are very much satisfied and happy for the way our college is achieving the great heights in terms of Academics & also in discipline in very short span. The interaction with Parents was very fruitful with significant suggestions/ideas were given by them to enhance the academic performance and overall development of their wards.
