Highlights & Achievements

The Department of Civil Engineering is established in 2016, with the vision to be the fountain-head of new ideas and innovations in Civil Engineering, presently the department is offering high quality teaching and instructions at UG level.  The Department is actively involving the students in actual construction activities, to make them familiar with the instruments involved and make them aware of actual construction practices. The Department of Civil Engineering with its multifaceted faculties continues to maintain and cultivate its strong links with the infrastructural industry and academic institutions for the development of the students.

Piyush Kalamkar; Kalpesh Pathrikar; Yash Panchpatkar, II YEAR CE won first prize in “Bridge Modelling under ANTAHEEN-2018-, “16-17TH AUGUST’ 2018 at YCCE. Piyush Kalamkar; Kalpesh Pathrikar; Yash Panchpatkar,Chandrashekhar Chavan III Year CE won first prize in “Bridge-IT 2K18 An Intercollegiate Event on 1st September2018 .

Winner of Women’s Cricket -2019, CE Department Girls , consecutive winners from last year under Sports & Cultural fest at RGCER.

Internships

Department of Civil Engineering promoted 32 students for Summer Internship in various private and Govt. industry and after training the review of the training was conducted through external expert along with report submission.

Under the bright student policy to give exposure and learning opportunities for the meritorious students of the institute, Civil Engineering Dept., RGCER has promoted the students to attend and participate in the international conference “INFRACON’2017 organized by INDIAN CONCRETE INSTITUTE, 6-7TH Oct’2017, Nagpur. The students got opportunity to listen to the eminent personalities in the field of Civil engineering and the recent advancements in the field.

MECHANO-CIVILI POSTERICA’2017


CIVIL Engineering Department , Rajiv Gandhi College of Engineering and Research, Nagpur organized ‘Mechano-Civili-Posterica-17’ a poster / model making competition under the banner Nimbus’17 a technical fest for BE First year students recently. The main objective of this competition was to improve creativity, Presentation skill and knowledge of the subject with the help of poster /Model making. Prof.Mayuri Chandak, HOD, Applied Mechanics Department, PIET, Nagpur judged the competition.  Group from GHRCE won 3rd  position for model titled Impact Resisitant building  , 2nd  position was secured by  Mohit Fating of RGCER for poster  titled Rain water harvesting and 1st   position was secured by Piyush Baviskar ,Pakshil Shivankar.Darshan Maheshwari,Mayank Tupone  of RGCER for Suspension Bridge  model . Prof. Boskey Bahoria, HOD, Civil Engineering Department handled the proceedings.   Prof.P.V.Domke proposed a vote of thanks. Dr. A.V.Bapat, Principal, RGCER, appreciated the efforts taken by the faculty members of Civil Engineering department. Prof. P.V.Domke, Prof. Abhijit Nardey, Prof.R.S.Berad worked hard for the success of the event.
